Ibora James talks about the heartbreaking moment when she was diagnosed with cancer while continuing to receive end-of-life care.
This comes after the 40-year-old podcaster revealed that she had dispelled all expectations by outliving her life expectancy, as doctors told her she had days or weeks to live when she left the hospital last month.
During his pre-recorded appearance on E4’s Embarrassing Bodies on Thursday, Bowel Babe spoke in detail about the heartbreaking moment at which he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 35.
She told her doctor, Dr. Tosin Ajayi-Sotubo, “I started going to the stool – I have to say – eight times a day. And I was a girl who happened once a day.
“Then I started to get really tired and I remember drinking piles of cups of coffee just to try to stay awake. Then I started to lose a lot of weight and I started to have blood in my stools. “

It was at this point that she had the “gut instinct that something was wrong.”
Elsewhere in the show, the activist became outspoken as she promised to break the taboo around poop.
She said: “We all poop, our favorite celebrities poop. Let’s break and break these taboos, because, frankly, it will save lives. “

Also Thursday, Ms. James revealed that she was “in obscurity” after surviving the life expectancy given to her by doctors.
She said on Instagram: “I find myself living in an extreme land without knowing what the future holds and for how long.
“It’s a very stressful place, because when I was discharged from the hospital more than a month ago, I was given days, maybe a week to live. And I wanted to.
“But as we all know, life is not going according to plan, so I’m just grateful for the extra time the forces decided to give me. So despite the tearful tears, I look at the sun, smile and think, wow, life is a funny thing, isn’t it !! You better enjoy! ”
