Ginny Thomas, a conservative activist and the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, said she looked forward to “clearing up misconceptions” after news that the House of Representatives’ election committee was seeking her testimony on Jan. 6.
“I can’t wait to clear up the misconceptions. I look forward to speaking with them, “Thomas told the Daily Caller about her request to testify.

Thomas did not say what the committee was wrong about.
Commission Chair Benny Thompson, D-Miss., Told reporters Thursday: “We sent a letter to Ms Thomas asking [her] to come and talk to the commission. “
The committee wants to talk to Thomas because they found “some information about Ginny Thomas” in emails between her and Trump’s lawyer John Eastman, Thompson told Axios.

Eastman, the commission said, has played a key role in the former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.
Thomas told The Washington Free Beacon in March that she attended Trump’s January 6 rally before the Capitol attack, but left early before the then president took the stage because she was cold.

The commission’s original goal in interrogating Thomas was to determine her role, if any, in Trump’s efforts to cancel the 2020 election, Politico reported. The emails between Thomas and Eastman are still in the “discovery phase,” Thompson said, but could be mentioned “at some point” during the Jan. 6 hearings.
