An acupuncturist from Surrey, British Columbia, who has already been banned from treating women, has now had his license suspended entirely after a new charge of sexual misconduct.

Court documents filed by the college last week show that this is at least the third woman to claim such behavior from Titchener.
The college says that in light of the latest complaint, its committee of inquiry has reviewed investigative materials collected so far, including a document from Titchener denying any sexual misconduct.
“The commission of inquiry has made sure that extraordinary action is needed to protect the public in the meantime, pending the outcome of the investigation,” the statement said.
Titchner’s registration as an acupuncturist will remain suspended while the investigation continues. The allegations have not been proven.
Teachner it is forbidden to treat women and girls since March, following a finding of sexual misconduct to place his penis in the hand of a patient in November 2020. The ban is a temporary measure and the college has not yet decided on additional penalties in this case.
The last woman to show up filed a complaint on May 15, according to the college.
The college says her complaint stems from a meeting on February 16, 2022, when Titchener was subject to an earlier restriction that required him to have an escort in the room for all meetings with female clients.
Court documents reveal the third charge of misconduct
Teachner denied all charges against him, and in a petition filed with the British Columbia Supreme Court on March 29, he called on a judge to overturn the college’s finding of sexual misconduct.
The petition alleges that the college applied the wrong standard of proof and carried out an erroneous analysis of the applicant’s credibility.
Due to Titchener’s lawsuit, the public archives now show that at least three women have accused him of putting his penis in their hands during acupuncture.
The college’s response to a petition filed last week said it held a hearing in the fall of 2021 to consider a complaint filed by a 23-year-old woman who had more than a dozen meetings with Titchener to treat whiplash. impact after a car accident.

She testified about her last appointment in November 2020, when she said Teachner pressed a finger into her palm and asked her to squeeze it two or three times as she lay face down with needles in her back, according to the college’s response.
She said Titchener then placed another part of her body that was longer, thicker and warmer in her palm, and when she asked what it was, he would not give a clear answer, the response said.
The patient told the college that she had returned home that day and immediately canceled her remaining meetings with Teachner.
Another woman, who also filed a sexual assault complaint against Titchener, testified at the hearing to provide “evidence of such facts,” according to the college’s response. She described a very similar experience during a meeting in February 2020.
The college’s response called for the court to dismiss Tichner’s petition, saying that he “failed to prove that the panel made a tangible and material error, so the court’s intervention is necessary.”
A hearing on the complaint has not yet been scheduled.
