A video, too barbaric to show, led to the arrest of a woman on suspicion of animal cruelty after she allegedly killed and ate her daughter’s home hamster.
The horrifying video was uploaded to Facebook and reportedly depicts the mother killing and then eating the family hamster using a bottle of water to wash the poor animal. It is alleged that she performed the sick stunt in exchange for crack cocaine, writes the Mirror.
Lincolnshire police have confirmed that a woman from Grantham, southern Lincolnshire, was arrested on Thursday (June 23rd) as part of an RSPCA investigation. The mother was then released, but is still under police investigation.

A spokesman for the forces said: “We arrested a 39-year-old woman on suspicion of animal cruelty after an alarming video was posted on social media depicting an act involving a hamster.
“The Grantham woman was arrested by our staff yesterday (June 23) following an investigation by the RSPCA. She was released under investigation and we will continue to support the RSPCA with their investigation. “
An RSPCA spokesman encouraged anyone who came across the terrifying video on social media to report it on the relevant platform. People were reminded not to share disturbing footage online.
“This is an extremely disturbing video and we would like to reassure the public that we are investigating and working closely with the police,” the animal welfare organization said.
“Please do not call us about this video unless you have first-hand information about the incident that could help the investigation, as it may stop emergency calls for animals in need to contact us.
“If you see this video on social media, please report it to the platform immediately. Please do not share or comment on it, as it increases the chances of other people seeing it and becoming anxious.
