Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Metro Vancouver for the first hot section of the summer.
The warning, issued Sunday, is valid until Monday for Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, the North Shore, Coquitlam Maple Ridge, Surrey, Langley, Richmond and Delta.

The Fraser Valley is expected to reach “heat warning criteria” with maximum daytime temperatures close to 34 ° C and low nighttime temperatures for tall teenagers.
The other regions can expect daily maximum values at the low 30 degrees Celsius and minimum at night also in the low to mid-teens.
In hotter weather, Environment Canada reminds residents that the risk of heat-related illnesses is increasing.

Environment Canada said there would be some relief next week as temperatures are expected to return to close to normal.
