Boris Johnson insists no “Ukraine fatigue” as Zelensky addresses leaders

Oliver Dowden resigned as chairman of the Conservative Party last Friday after the Tories suffered two crushing defeats in the midterm elections. His departure sparked speculation as to whether other cabinet ministers could leave, but no one did.

George Justis, the environment minister, was asked this morning if Boris Johnson had the full support of everyone in his cabinet, and he replied, “Yes.”

He told Sky News: “Oliver Dowden has resigned – he has resigned and the way collective management works, as you know, is that those in the cabinet, yes, we have our full support, we work as a team.

“We have the support of the prime minister, the prime minister has our support, we work together.

“And, you know, we stick together in difficult times, and even when we do, you have very disappointing election results, as we undoubtedly did last Thursday, we have an important agenda that we are working on and we are focused on that.”
