Man United’s pre-season schedule is full as the Red Devils head to Australia

The era of Eric ten Hague at Manchester United officially began after a group of players announced to Carrington for the first time since his first pre-season training.

The Dutchman was waiting to meet his players face to face, as he has been on the spot since the end of last season. Ten Hag attended United’s last game of the gloomy season, in which they recorded their lowest points in the Premier League.

He had hoped to have a number of newcomers coming through the door by the time tests began at their training base, but he made a disappointing start to the window. But the focus has shifted to those already at his disposal, with a number conducting fitness tests on Monday before the sessions, which begin later in the week.

And Ten Hag – tasked with rebuilding United from the start – is wasting no time making changes to the training ground. Here are four things the returning Red Devils can expect in the coming weeks and months.

The clean-up of Todd Bowley at Chelsea is exactly what Man United fans are calling for in Man United’s transfer plans, which are receiving another blow after Anthony’s tearful price comes to light.

LENGTH OF GRASS

Following his appointment, Ten Hague demanded that the turf at United’s Carrington training complex be trimmed to 15 mm to allow for faster passes. Ten Hag is believed to have fulfilled his wish by having the ground staff cut the grass on the pitches to the desired length.

TOGETHER EVENING

Under interim boss Ralph Rangnik, players were allowed to eat wherever and whenever they wanted on the training ground, while some ate away from the training ground after their session ended.

Ten Hag wants all players and staff to eat together, at the same time in the dining room of the training ground, to help the connection and team spirit.

EXERCISE TRAININGS

Like former United boss and Dutch counterpart Luis van Gaal, Ten Hague believes in “brain training”. It suggests special training, such as 11 against zero games, which are designed to ensure that each player knows his role and what to do in the team structure, as well as to sharpen their technical skills.

DOUBLE SESSIONS

Ten hag postponed the start of pre-season training by one week to ensure that his players are in the best physical condition for the new season and to apply the high-energy style of play he requires.

After the players completed their fitness tests after the first two days ago, it was said that Ten Hague had ordered double workouts to make sure his players were in as much shape as possible before the pre-season tour and the new campaign.
