The order gives uniformed officers the power to disperse individuals or groups when their presence or behavior has caused or is likely to cause harassment, intimidation, alarm or distress to a member of the public.

A section 60 order is in place for the west of Ipswich and most of the city centre.

Police officers have been sent to the area, and patrols and investigations of the incident continue.

Police say that although there is no apparent risk to the general public, there is an increased risk of violence between the parties directly involved/connected to the incident.
