A man was found unconscious in a bar in the city center after an attack on Saturday.
Merseyside police rushed to Hardy’s Bar on Matthew Street around 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, after reports of an unconscious man found. Upon arrival, officers found that the victim, a man in his 30s, was unconscious after being attacked at the bar.
The man was rushed to a hospital in the Northwest Ambulance, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

An eyewitness told ECHO that a number of police patrol cars and ambulances were at the scene after the initial call to 999. An investigation into the incident has been launched and investigations by CCTV cameras, witnesses and forensic scientists are ongoing.
Officers remain at the scene today, Monday, June 13, while the investigation continues and anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
Detective Inspector David Jones said: “We are investigating an attack in Liverpool this weekend in which one person was injured. Matthew Street would be very busy on Saturday night.
“I would urge anyone who was at Hardy’s Bar around 6pm and saw the attack to contact us and help with our inquiries, as your evidence may be vital to the investigation. We want our city center to be a safe place for everyone in Merseyside to enjoy, and we simply will not tolerate such acts of violence.
“With the help of the public, we can make our streets safer, and I would urge anyone who has information about this incident to come out.
