A British woman has been sentenced to death in the United States after telling her parents that she was visiting DisneyWorld.
Rebecca Short, 26, had secretly befriended the double killer, Manuel Ovante Jay, 35, before they married in prison.
The internship dental nurse from Oxfordshire surprised her family when she sent them photos from the wedding from Eimon Prison in Florence, Arizona, surprisingly, writes The Mirror.
A friend claims that she is “obsessed” with watching documentaries about serial killers on Netflix.
Ovante, a 35-year-old Mexican man who was in prison 12 years ago, was allowed to leave his cell for the April 14 ceremony.

The photos show Rebecca in a black wedding dress and boots, while her fiancé is in bright orange prison scrubs and white sneakers.
The bride also met with Ovante’s family and they shared a wedding cake that had black icing and red roses.

A message at the top of the three levels read, “Until Death Do Us Part.”

Rebecca also posted photos from DisneyWorld in Florida and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco during her trip.
A friend told The Sun: “She’s always been obsessed with watching Netflix documentaries about serial killers in America, but no one expected her to run away and marry one.”
Rebecca’s neighbor also told the paper, “She really told me about it, but I really don’t want to talk about it, it’s not my family.”

Understandably, the couple met on prisonlifeandbeyond.com, where Ovante wrote: “I get along easily with myself and I tend to be a jerk.
“I am very loyal to the people I care about. No one is perfect, so I hope I am not judged by past mistakes.
“I love reading and listening to music. I have a daughter named Bonnie.

“I’m not sure what I’m looking for from a writing friend, so I guess you’ll have to surprise me.”

On June 11, 2008, Ovante and friends George Rojas, Nathan Durand, and Richard Faure went to Jordan Trujillo’s home to try methamphetamine.
However, after finding that it was not available, they left before returning by truck and discovered that Damien Vickers and Gabriel Valenzuela were also on the property.
Ovante suddenly pulled out a pistol and shot Trujillo twice, killing her.
He then shot Vickers and Valenzuela.
While the former was fighting for his life, Duran helped him into the truck and everyone left.
However, Ovante refused to allow Vickers to be taken to hospital and he died, and his body was then dumped in an alley.
Valenzuela survived.
Ovante was arrested a month later and pleaded guilty to the murders as well as the aggravated assault.
