A call to find a man in need of “emergency medical care” after a serious attack

UPDATE: GMP withdrew the complaint.

Police have called for help in finding a man in need of “emergency medical care” after he was severely attacked.

The man was taken to the Royal Hospital in Manchester after being attacked in Wington last night (Friday, April 15). However, he left the hospital before he could be treated for a wound to the back of his head.

Police say the exact details of the man were not given before he left the hospital. Officials say they are “concerned” about his well-being and have called on anyone who can help identify him to contact him.

An image of the man taken at the hospital in the early hours of this morning was published as part of a public call. Officials believe the man was accompanied by a woman on her way to and from the hospital.

A post on GMP’s Fallowfield, Withington, Levenshulme & Burnage Facebook page added: “Inquiries with other local hospitals have been unsuccessful and we are working to try to identify him through forensic analysis as soon as possible, but we hope someone can to succeed help us through this call.

“The detectives at #WestDidsbury CID are urging anyone who recognizes the man or knows his whereabouts to contact us as soon as possible so that we can ensure that he can receive the care he needs.
