Police said the man, the owner of the house, had been badly affected since early in the morning. They are appealing to witnesses after gems, money and watches have been stolen.
A number of watches were stolen, including those made by Patek Philppe, Audemar Piguet and Rolex. Other hijacked jewelry includes a diamond locket and a diamond ring. About 2,000 British pounds were taken in cash.
