A GOP spokesman, Miller, speaking with Trump, called the SCOTUS leadership a “victory for whites’ lives.”

R-Ill. MP Mary Miller told a rally in Trump, Illinois, on Saturday that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Rowe against Wade was a “historic victory for whites.”

“President Trump, on behalf of all the MAGA patriots in America, I want to thank you for the historic victory of whites in the Supreme Court yesterday,” Miller said.

A spokesman for Miller told the Associated Press that the line was a “mix of words.”

“You can clearly see in the video … she’s looking at her documents and she’s looking at her speech,” Isaiah Wortman, a spokesman, told the AP.

The congresswoman’s comments come a day after the court voted to abolish the constitutional right to abortion after nearly 50 years.

Miller made the obvious mistake on stage in Mendon, Illinois, when he opened his speeches with former President Donald J. Trump. Trump was in the city to support the current president ahead of Tuesday’s primary election, where she will fight Republican Rodney Davis in the recently redesigned 15th Illinois Congressional District.

Its candidate, Davis, voted to set up an independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the capital. Miller voted against the measure and won Trump’s approval in January.

Earlier in the rally, Trump praised Dobbs’ decision against Jackson as “a victory for the constitution, a victory for the rule of law and, above all, a lifelong victory.”

A stormy crowd applauded “thank you, Trump” as he highlighted his success in nominating three Supreme Court judges during his presidency.

“I promised to nominate judges and judges to uphold the original meaning of the Constitution,” the former president said. “We’ve got nearly 300 federal judges and three grand judges from the Supreme Court who have been confirmed to do just that.”
