A man receives life-changing injuries after being hit by a cyclist in downtown Toronto

A man was seriously injured after being hit by a cyclist in downtown Toronto on Sunday night, police said.

The incident happened on Wellington Avenue, west of Spadina Avenue, shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Toronto police say a man was walking down an alley on Wellington Avenue when he came in contact with a cyclist traveling west.

The man has life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital, police said. The cyclist was also injured, but everything will be fine.
