A man was detained and arrested after an “incident” at the Horse Guards Parade

The 29-year-old man, who was armed with a knife, was confronted by two police officers from the Ministry of Defense at around 8.50 am, police said.

An electric shocker was deployed and the man was detained by officers.

Officers will continue to liaise closely with the Ministry of Defense police as it progresses.

A short video for video surveillance, via Transport for London, shows police vans blocking the street.
