A man was fatally shot dead in broad daylight one block from a New York City police station

A 27-year-old man was fatally shot in the head in broad daylight on the Upper West Side on Sunday, cops said.

The shooting took place during a dispute around 12:15 on 101st Street and Amsterdam Avenue – one block from the 24th section of the NYPD, according to cops.

An unidentified man was pronounced dead at the scene and the shooter fled.

The violence comes as New York City police begin to patrol more cops on Monday night to help stop shootings ahead of the summer months.
