Kelowna RCMP investigated after a collision early Monday morning in the 400-block of Banks Rd.
The RCMP responded at 3:35 a.m. with reports that a garbage truck had collided with a man who may have been sleeping near the garbage cans.
A spokesman for the RCMP Cpl. Tammy Lob told Castanet, “when officers arrived on the scene, they found the truck and the driver. The hit man, a 26-year-old man, had already left the area and was found by police a short distance away.”
“The man was transported to hospital for serious injuries, without danger to life.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety and Law Enforcement Department was present at the scene in addition to RCMP staff.
