Scottish police have confirmed that a skull recently discovered in North Lanarkshire is in fact human remains.
Earlier on Friday, a concerned member of the public found something that looked like a skull in Motherwell.
Officers raced to the scene of the incident on Bellshill Road in the early hours of Friday, April 15, around 5:30 p.m.
Concerned locals say the cops stayed in the area for several hours as they investigated the horrific find to determine if the skull could be a “fake” or a “missing piece of souvenir.”
However, after an investigation, Scottish police told the Record today that the skull was indeed human remains.
