A truck violently crashed into a police car at speed, leaving a police officer in hospital

This is the moment when a dump truck forcibly hit a police patrol car, leaving a police officer in need of hospital treatment.

The Sofia police called for help in tracking the vehicle and the driver involved in the incident that happened on Friday morning in Stockwell, London.

Police tried to stop a yellow Ford Transit dump truck due to vehicle damage and improper driving when the driver reversed with his car.

Footage posted on social media showed police trying to get away from the road before their car was hit at high speed by a rear van, smashing the hood and letting the horn rattle.

One employee needed hospital treatment for head and arm injuries from the accident and was subsequently discharged. A second paramedic was examined on the spot.

A police search of the area followed the incident, but officers were unable to locate the car and the man behind the wheel. The investigation continues.

Met described the vehicle as yellow and black in color, with a damaged mirror on one side, and the registration was considered to be FA04 UZW, although F was missing from the rear number plate.

On the side of the van was the brand of a waste collection company, but the owner of the company told The Sun that he sold the vehicle seven months ago.

He said he had been visited by police and claimed the vehicle was associated with flies.
