A video of Megan Markle watching Harry during the Invictus Games provokes a reaction

Megan Markle and Prince Harry made their debut at this year’s Invictus Games, with fans of the royal couple praising the proud looks the Duchess of Sussex has seen her husband.

The couple was seen smiling for photos and waving to fans ahead of the Invictus Games in The Hague, the Netherlands, on Friday. During a reception for friends and family, at which the couple mingled with some of the rivals, Markle wore an all-white blazer and trousers made by Valentino, while Prince Harry wore a navy blue suit and white shirt.

On social media, fans shared photos of Megan holding Prince Harry’s hand several times during the event and looking at him with a smile on her face.

“Megan is proud of her husband,” one man wrote.

“I’m just enjoying every minute of this engagement,” another tweeted, along with a photo of Harry and Megan walking together. “THEIR HANDS.”

Other people praised Prince Harry, who was also photographed watching his wife and admiring her during the event.

“Only Prince Harry looks after his beautiful wife Megan,” a man tweeted, along with photos of the duke and duchess.

“The look of a proud husband who knows that his wife #MeghanMarkle is well-read and adds value to meaningful conversations with world leaders,” another Twitter user posted a photo of the couple talking to Hague Mayor Jan van Zanen.

The couple arrived at the Invictus Games after visiting the Queen in the UK the day before. The presence of the Duke and Duchess at the event is the first time Prince Harry and Megan have appeared in public in Europe since retiring from their royal duties in 2020.

Launched in 2014 by Prince Harry, Invictus Games is an international sporting event for “injured, wounded and sick staff”, according to the official website.

The aim of the event is to show how sport can “inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and response for those who serve their country”.
