Environment Canada has issued recommendations for winter travel for Greater Sudbury.
Short but heavy snowfalls will continue to affect the region this afternoon and evening.
Hazards can include a sudden decrease in visibility due to heavy snow, with a snowfall of two to four cm by tonight.
Drivers must expect dangerous winter driving conditions and adjust their travel plans accordingly. Traveling can be dangerous due to sudden changes in weather. Be especially careful when walking or driving in the affected areas. Slow down on slippery conditions. Watch for the rear lights ahead and maintain a safe distance. Visibility can be suddenly reduced, sometimes in heavy snow.
