A Wisconsin dog named “Baby Girl” left tied to a fire hydrant with a note from the owner cared for by the Wisconsin Humane Society

GREEN BAY, Wis. “A dog was found abandoned and tied to a fire hydrant in Green Bay, prompting the Wisconsin Humanities Society to remind everyone that it will never refuse an animal in need.”

A WHS publication said the dog had a note with her explaining that the owners could no longer take care of her.

The dog, called “Baby Girl”, was left with a bag full of dog food, treats and toys.

The baby girl is now being cared for at WHS and she is “doing great.”

The WHS Facebook post partly says:

“While we will never allow fees to be a barrier and we welcome anonymous broadcasts, we see that you have done what you think is best for your beloved puppy, and we are grateful for your compassion. Make sure she is safe, she gets a lot of attention from our team and she is about to find her next loving family very soon. We wish you all the best and hope that if you see this, you can rest a little easier, knowing that your little girl has a bright future ahead. “
