A woman was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Moira

A woman was stabbed in the northwestern village of Leicestershire this morning, police confirmed. Officers landed in Moira, near Ashby, shortly after 8 a.m. today (May 3rd).

The 28-year-old is now being treated for injuries that “are not considered life-threatening,” a spokesman for the force told LeicestershireLive. She was stabbed in the Sweet Hill area of ​​Ashby Road near Norris Hill.

An investigation into the incident has been launched and officials continue to investigate the village. No arrests have been made.

Residents were notified of the incident this morning, when an increased police presence was observed in the area. According to the villagers, a helicopter is also said to be circling over the village.

A police spokesman said: “Officers are conducting further investigations in Moira this morning after a 28-year-old woman was stabbed in the Sweet Hill area. She was taken to hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

“The incident happened shortly after 8 am today (Tuesday, May 3). An investigation is under way into the incident and the circumstances that led to it. No arrests have been made at this stage.
