Iggy Azalea claims that American Airlines blocked her and her baby, but that may not be true … at least according to airport officials.
Airline sources told TMZ … rapper “Fancy” showed up at the airport at 17:30 for a flight at 18:00. We were told that she was able to check her luggage and go through the guards, but one of her group was detained while passing through the TSA.
Our sources say that boarding ended 15 minutes before departure … leaving Iggy and co. just 15 minutes to check your luggage, go through the security and reach the exit. And when he finally reached the gate, the door was already closed.
As for her luggage, we were told that she had arrived on the plane and would be sent to her home.
Of course, this is a little different from Iggy’s story. In a series of tweets, she expressed her disappointment, claiming that the airline had blocked her and her baby … selling their seats while the gate was still open. And don’t make her start with her luggage.
I wanted to tell all families who book a trip to be careful to fly with small children on @AmericanAir. I was flying with my son, and they sold our seats while the gate was still open, and then refused to take our luggage off the plane, even though all the other flights were sold out that night. 1/2

She warned other families not to fly American Airlines, and other people began to get involved and show sympathy and share similar stories.
We contacted American Airlines and they had no comment.
