Adam Kinsinger calls Marjorie Taylor Green “crazy” for playing “victim” during the Capitol riot on January 6

Representative Adam Kinsinger (R-IL), one of a pair of Republicans on the House of Representatives’ nine-member commission of inquiry into Jan. 6, said Sunday he would be “pleased” to ask Marjorie Taylor Green (R-GA) the question “about a selected text she claims she sent after the Capitol riot. Green’s lawyers say Congresswoman “does not remember” writing the January 17 text to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, advising him that some Republican lawmakers want then-President Donald Trump to declare a law of Marshall.

Instead, her legal team insists Green is a “victim” of the uprising. Appearing on CBS News’s Face the Nation this weekend, Kinzinger denied her “amazing” strategy, saying that when Green stood up, she was suddenly a victim and a poor, helpless congresswoman who was just trying to do her job. “It’s crazy,” he said. “We want the information. Look, history won’t judge her or people like her who buy the big lie well. I firmly believe that.”
