After Telegram, Snapchat is working on a paid subscription service – Snapchat Plus

The popular social media platform Snapchat is working on paid subscriptions for consumers as it struggles to make money after Apple introduced difficult changes to the privacy of iOS. Called Snapchat Plus, the paid subscription service is currently in “early internal testing,” according to The Verge. “We are doing early internal testing of Snapchat Plus, a new subscription service for Snapchatters,” a company spokesman was quoted as saying late Thursday.

“We are excited about the potential to share exclusive, experimental and advanced features with our subscribers and learn more about how we can best serve our community,” the spokesman added.

According to app researcher Alessandro Paluzzi, Snapchat Plus will also allow you to hook up one of your friends as your “# 1 BFF”.

The price for Snapchat Plus is currently listed at $ 4.84 per month and $ 48.50 per year, Paluzzi tweeted.

Not only Snapchat, but several other popular apps have launched a paid subscription service after Apple introduced an iOS 14.5 privacy feature that allows users to turn off ad tracking for apps.

Pavel Durov, founder and executive director of the Telegram instant messaging platform, confirmed this month that a subscription offer called Telegram Premium will come later this month.

“After thinking for a while, we realized that the only way to allow our most demanding fans to get more, while keeping their existing features free, is to make these increased limits a paid option,” Durov said in a blog post.

“That’s why we will present Telegram Premium, a subscription plan that allows everyone to acquire additional features, speed and resources,” he added. Last year, Twitter released its first paid subscription offer, called Twitter Blue, which will give users a 30-second option to cancel Tweet to delete any typos, along with other first-class features.
