It’s been almost eight months since 19-year-old Dani Santuli suffered permanent brain injuries caused by hate alcohol at the University of Missouri fraternity – and he still can’t speak, see or walk. He will probably never do it again.

Already at home in Eden Prairie, Danny Santuli is caring for his mother, Mary Pat, who left her bank job to be with him full-time while the family continues to struggle to hold the fraternity accountable. Following the settlement of 23 civil cases, they are suing two more members of the Mizzou Brotherhood in a case that drew national attention on Thursday when Santuli’s story was shared in Good Morning America.
“This is the most horrific case of hatred of all time,” said David Bianchi, a Miami family lawyer who has specialized in hate cases across the country for 30 years.
The latest lawsuit alleges that last fall, Santuli was forced to drink a whole bottle of vodka and then beer through a pipe and funnel during his dedication to the Phi Gamma Delta, known as Fiji. His blood alcohol level rose to an almost fatal level of 0.468%.
Bianchi said there was a mountain of evidence in seized cell phones and surveillance cameras throughout the house, indicating that Santuli was left unattended and unconscious on the couch where he stopped breathing.
“You can’t imagine how it could be worse and still be alive,” Bianchi said, adding that his company had counted at least 50 hate deaths since 2000 in American colleges and universities. His cases almost …
