Saturday marked the day of the search for Casey Cole White, 38, and Vicki White, 56. Lauderdale County The detention center in Florence, Alabama, on April 29, Sheriff Rick Singleton told reporters on Friday.

At the time, Vicki White, a senior correctional officer, was left alone with Casey, telling colleagues she was transporting him to the district court for evaluation, officials said. She allegedly said she would go to her doctor afterwards.

But Casey was not scheduled for an assessment at the time, investigators later said.

As the mystery of their whereabouts continues more than a week later, DePaul told Fox News Digital that Vicki and Casey White “will be fools to leave the country.”

“That would be a dumb move,” DePolle, a retired commander of the U.S. Marshallists’ Regional Task Force in New York / New Jersey, said Friday when asked about online speculation that the couple had fled elsewhere, possibly Mexico or Canada. . “It doesn’t make our lives difficult as an agency.”

Inmate Casey Cole White and Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Assistant Director Vicki White (no relative) were last seen leaving custody to appear in court at 9:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office. (Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office)

“You have to remember, Interpol, 186 countries under them – we work well with our international people. We have an international branch within the Marshall Service and we are in place in several countries, “DePol continued. “We are much ahead in these things.”

And while it would be foolish to leave the United States, “it will help us,” DePaul said.

Ever since authorities learned of Vicki White’s escape with Casey White, law enforcement at all levels has “turned her world upside down,” said the longtime federal agent and U.S. Navy veteran.

“She was outside. “Whether he prepared her or not, he attracted her and convinced her of anything, your focus is on her right now.” “This digital footprint is very, very important in today’s world. Her trusted circle of friends – we call him “Who’s Who at the Zoo”. Everyone is watching. “

From the beginning, DePolle said, investigators would look not only for who Vicki White spoke to, but also “what websites did she visit? What was their game plan?”

In the month before the escape, Vicki White is said to have sold her home. She was due to retire on April 29 – the day the couple disappeared – but the documents were not officially submitted to the state.

She also bought a 2007 orange Ford Edge that investigators tracked down to Bethesda, Tennessee, Williamson County on Thursday night.

“They took money,” DePole continued. “They can afford provisions. They can afford to darken, not talk to anyone. The big question is how long will they last together?”

Marshals describe White as 6 feet 9 inches tall and about 330 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Law enforcement images show that he wore his hair in various ways over the years, including shaved, tousled and cut.

He is significantly taller than Vicki White, who is 5 feet 5 inches and approximately 145 pounds. She has brown eyes and is said to walk with a “rolling gait”.

DePaul said Casey White’s distinctly tall stature and the couple’s height mismatch made avoiding public attention “difficult”.

“Time is on the side of investigators. They have nothing but time. These people are sleeping with one eye open. They don’t know what their next move will be, who is watching them?” he explained.

DePaul noted that the couple may separate sometime after the escape.

In the more than a week since the couple fled, the U.S. Marshals Service has gradually released a flood of new information and photos.

The couple kept in touch and are said to have spoken on the phone between 2020 and 2022, even when Casey was transported to Donaldson Center before being sent back to Lauderdale to await trial.

On Friday, the USMS revealed that it had received a signal around 11pm on Thursday for a vehicle matching the 2007 Ford Edge’s description, and have since been able to confirm that the SUV was the same used by the fugitive couple.

With the help of the tip, they were able to track the vehicle to a towing site in Williamson County, Tennessee, about two hours north of where the chase first began, the office said.
