Cupertino-based technology giant Apple has introduced an DIY iPhone rental service. The set of rental tools was introduced as part of Apple’s self-service repair program, which began in the United States earlier this year. The service is expected to be launched in Europe later this year.
The set of tools depends on the iPhone model you want to repair. The kit will include the tools needed to repair a specific iPhone model. Users can keep the toolkit with them for seven days.
Apple has announced a set of tools for the iPhone at a weekly rental price of USD 49 (about Rs 3800). The service is available on the website of the US Self-Service Store. In addition, the brand has made a personalized set of tools for rent for iPhone models in the range of iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 and iPhone SE (2022).
The tools are available in boxes that are 20 inches wide and 47 inches high on top of each other. Only one set of tools is available for the iPhone SE (2022), while for other iPhone models it is available in two cases. The cases weigh somewhere between 16 and 19 kg and are available with roller wheels.

All of the above tools will be useful for anyone planning to repair their iPhone themselves. After the repair work, users must send the toolkit back to the store. The brand may charge more if one of the instruments disappears or is damaged during this time. Apple said the kits are checked properly before being shipped to avoid any kind of damage.
