SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A man is in custody after a shooting and chase in Sacramento that led law enforcement to Folsom on Thursday night.
The chase began shortly after 6:40 p.m. in the area of 23rd Avenue and 44th Street in the Oak Park area, Sacramento police said. The suspect eventually made his way on Highway 50 and Folsom.

The Sacramento County Sheriff said lawmakers were helping Sacramento police try to catch the suspect on Folsom Boulevard. Heavy policing then descended near Folsom Premium Outlets. Folsom police have advised residents to avoid the area while law enforcement is on the scene.

Sacramento police confirmed shortly before 10 pm that the suspect was in custody
East Highway 50 on Folsom Boulevard and Highway 50 west of Prairie City Road were closed due to the investigation, but were reopened.
