Arsenal have opened talks with Gabriel Jesus

Arsenal have begun talks with Gabriel’s representative Jesus over the course of the summer, and things look encouraging to the gunners.

According to Goal, Arsenal director Edu Gaspar has met with Gabriel Jesus’ agent Paulo Pitombeir to begin the process of bringing the Brazilian to the Emirates. The Manchester City striker will enter the last year of his contract with Etihad, and things are quite open at the moment.

Gabriel Jesus proved his living qualities during his many years in Manchester City. The striker, who is still only 25, has a long career ahead of him, but aspires to be a regular starter, something that has not happened at the Etihad. Therefore, the striker is ready to leave the Premier League champions in the summer.

Manchester City reportedly opened for offers last summer when they chased Harry Kane from Tottenham. As the England captain could not side with Pep Guardiola, the Premier League champions decided to continue with Jesus as the only recognized striker.

Things may change during the upcoming summer window, as Manchester City is ready to attract Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. The arrival of the Norwegian will probably end the time of Jesus at the club, as Guardiola’s team will then be open to proposals for the Brazilian.

Jesus has started just 17 of the 24 games he has played in the Premier League. He scored four goals against Watford at the weekend. As things stand, the club can win money from the Brazilian and there are several countries that want to sign with the striker.

Arsenal are interested in the Brazilian’s signature. So far, there have been no talks between the clubs that could begin when Arsenal find out that the player wants to move. Personal terms can be agreed between this period, as the gunners seem to be moving in the right direction.

According to the latest reports, Edu Gaspar has met with Jesus’ agent Paulo Pitombeir and has begun negotiations for a possible move. The striker’s representative can act as an intermediary between the two clubs when formal negotiations begin.

Jesus is arranged to replace Alexander Lacazette, who can leave with a free transfer in the summer. Gunners may seek to take another, with Darwin Nunez mentioned as a major target for North Londoners.

As for Jesus, he may be available at a reasonable price, given that he will have only one year left from the deal after the end of this season. He has proven himself in the Premier League, which could come as an added bonus for Arsenal and given the price he can reach, this will be good business for the North Londoners.
