At least two people died after a powerful thunderstorm that engulfed much of southern Ontario today.
Peel Regional Police say a woman died after being hit by a fallen tree in Brampton, Ont.
Ontario provincial police also say one person was killed and two others injured after a tree fell on a camping trailer near Lake Pinehurst in the Waterloo area.

The storm, which cut through much of southern Ontario on the first day of a long May weekend, also left thousands without power, according to Hydro One.
The storm was strong enough for Environment Canada to issue an intrusive emergency signal that is sent to television and radio stations and mobile phones.

Environment Canada meteorologist Daniel Liotta says winds of 132 kilometers per hour were measured in Kitchener, Ont. the airport was a sufficient risk to property and life to trigger the warning.
