BEAVERTON Ore. (KPTV) – Beaverton Police Department has officially announced the death of 13-year-old Milana Lee as murder.
Investigators have launched an investigation into Lee’s death after the discovery of her body around 3pm on Tuesday in a small stream near the Westside Trail in Westside Linear Park. An autopsy performed in Lee on Wednesday confirmed that the death was murder.
Officials say dozens of pieces of community advice have been received, and investigators are tracking some evidence.
Beaverton police said investigators did not believe there was a continuing threat to the community.
Before Lee’s body was found, her mother was reported missing around 1:10 p.m. on Monday, May 9. She was last seen alive in her apartment near the intersection of Southwest Murray Boulevard and Southwest Scholls Ferry Road around 4pm on Sunday night
