Former Clinton adviser and sociologist Mark Penn joined The Story on Thursday to analyze why President Biden is losing support in key Democrat constituencies.
MARK PEN: They are spectacularly low [approval] numbers. To really get to it, only a third is favorable and in the 20s of independent, of course right [Biden’s] re-election is a virtual impossibility. The administration has to turn around or it will be a tornado of interim mandates if these numbers continue to linger. And honestly, they had month after month here to do something to pay attention to inflation, to immigration, to Ukraine, to crime. And they just didn’t do it. They made small small gradual changes. They need big changes to change some big numbers.
