Boris Johnson and a group of top ministers have been banned from entering Russia in retaliation for the UK’s support for Ukraine.
Russia’s foreign ministry said on Saturday morning that the prime minister and cabinet members were on his sanctions list.
The list includes Dominic Raab, Deputy Prime Minister; Liz Truss, Secretary of State; Ben Wallace, Secretary of Defense; Grant Shaps, Secretary of Transportation; Rishi Sunak, Chancellor; Kwasi Kwarteng, Business Secretary; Nadine Doris, Secretary of Culture; James Happy, Secretary of Defense; and Suela Braverman, Attorney General.
Nicolas Sturgeon, Scotland’s first minister, and Theresa May, the former prime minister, were also banned from entering.
Russia’s foreign ministry said the move was “taken into account”.
