Bourne End: Murder investigation begins after three people were found dead after a “targeted attack” | United Kingdom news

A homicide investigation has been launched after three people were found dead after a “targeted attack” on a sheltered residential property.

The bodies of a woman in her 60s, a man in her 50s and another man in his 60s were found by police as they responded to reports of riots at a Buckinghamshire home.

Thames Valley police said all three were acquainted with each other and evidence shows that a serious attack was carried out on the apartment in Spring Gardens, Born End.

Although officers did not identify the victims, their relatives were notified.

The forces added that the incident appeared to be a “targeted attack” and they were not looking for anyone else in connection with it.

“We are at a very early stage in this investigation and we are dealing with a very complex investigation,” said senior investigative officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown.

“We are all shocked that this happened.”

A charity called Red Kite Community Housing has confirmed that the incident took place at Orchard House, which is part of a sheltered accommodation scheme.

A statement said tenants living in the property were being provided with support to ensure that “they feel safe and secure”.

“We are all shocked that this happened in one of our schemes and we will cooperate fully with the police to help investigate them,” said Julie Gamble-Kempe, head of communications at the association.

Sheltered housing is accommodation specifically designed for older people or people with disabilities to allow them to live independently and is usually only available to those aged 55 and over.

Officials warned residents that the increased police presence is likely to remain in place for several days “at least”

Anyone who has information about the incident, or who has seen something unusual in the area between 17:00 and 22:00 on Tuesday, April 19, is asked to contact the police on 101, citing reference number 2037 from 19.04. 2022
