The United States Capitol Police said there was “no threat to the Capitol” following an evacuation order stating that it was tracking “an aircraft that poses a likely threat to the Capitol.”

“The Capitol was evacuated due to high attention tonight. There is no threat in the Capitol. More details are forthcoming, “Capitol police said on Twitter.
An email alert, originally sent by U.S. Capitol police, contained a subject that said, “Evacuate Now: Aircraft Invasion.”
“USCP is tracking an aircraft that poses a potential threat to the Capitol Complex,” the email said.
The signal gave directions on where people should move in several places.
