Chris Jenner has not negotiated a deal for Kim Kardashian and Ray Jay for a sex tape

Ray Jay insists that Chris Jenner was in the middle of negotiations for Kim and Ray Jay’s sex tape, but we learned that the businesswoman of the century was indifferent when the deal was made.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ that Chris never negotiated with Vivid Entertainment, which released the tape in 2007. We were told that Kim and Ray Jay worked directly with Vivid and their lawyers.

That doesn’t mean Ray Jay is lying … he claims that Chris and Kim conspired to make and sell a sex tape after Paris Hilton’s huge financial success. That may be true, but we learned that Chris made the actual deal and had no contact with Vivid.

Of course, that doesn’t mean Chris didn’t work behind the scenes, as Ray Jay claims.

As we’ve reported over the years, although the Kardashian family has claimed they never signed the record, the reality is that Vivid couldn’t have released it without Kim and Ray’s signatures … if they did, there would be a blow to the immersion lawsuit, because Vivid cannot use anyone’s name or likeness on the tape without their consent.

Kim was actually suing Vivid before the tape was released, and this case was dropped … we were told because she and Ray made the deal they wanted, and that cleared the way for the video.

As for $$$ … we learned that Kim and Ray split an advance of $ 1 million and together received 49% of the profits from the tape. That’s about $ 49 million because the tape generates $ 100 million in sales. This is the highest-grossing sex tape of all time, ahead of that of Paris Hilton.
