Chris Rock’s mother reacted to her son’s blow from Will Smith at the Oscars.

Speaking to a local South Carolina news station on WIS-TV, Rose Rock said Friday that she was deeply hurt by the quarrel.

“You reacted to your wife watching you from the sidelines, and you went and fixed her day because she thought about laughing when that happened,” Rose teased Smith, who is currently on a trip to India.

“When he slapped Chris, he slapped us all. He really hit me, “she said. “Because when you hurt my child, you hurt me.”

A moment later, Smith won the Best Actor award for his film King Richard.

“No one heard his speech. No one could just be in the moment because everyone was sitting there like, “What just happened?” She continued.

Will Smith lost his temper when Chris Rock joked about the bald state of his wife Jada Pinkett Smith. The actor took to the stage to punch the comedian in the face to mock his wife’s insecurity.
