COVID-19: Cases in hospitals in British Columbia rose by 85, cases in the intensive care unit increased by 9 last week

British Columbia has seen an increase of 85 cases of COVID-19 in hospital and nine in intensive care in the last week.

According to the BC Centers for Disease Control, there were 570 cases in hospital and 47 cases in critical or intensive care as of Thursday.

The figures represent a 17.5% increase in hospitalizations and a 23.6% increase in intensive care units in the previous week.

Of these, 150 were in Fraser’s health authority, 65 were in the Homeland Health Authority, 20 were in the Northern Health Authority, 58 were in the Vancouver Health Authority, and 62 were in the Vancouver Health Authority.
