Cristiano Ronaldo shared a touching photo of his newborn baby girl returning home after the devastating loss of her twin.

The football star said that “now is the time to be grateful for life”, which he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez welcomed to the world.

And he said they both felt “all the love” they had received since their boy died.

The Manchester United striker shared a photo on his Instagram page of their latest addition at home, surrounded by his family.

Ronaldo, who already has a four-year-old daughter with Mrs. Rodriguez and three other children, said: “Home, sweet home. Gio and our little girl are finally with us.

“We want to thank everyone for their kind words and gestures.

The footballer described how excited he was by the one-minute applause during the match between Liverpool and Manchester United on Tuesday.

Fans of both teams showed solidarity with the player and applauded in the seventh minute – as the number of the Portuguese star.
