Cristiano Ronaldo shared a touching photo of his newborn baby girl returning home after the devastating loss of her twin.
The football star said that “now is the time to be grateful for life”, which he and his partner Georgina Rodriguez welcomed to the world.
And he said they both felt “all the love” they had received since their boy died.
The Manchester United striker shared a photo on his Instagram page of their latest addition at home, surrounded by his family.
Ronaldo, who already has a four-year-old daughter with Mrs. Rodriguez and three other children, said: “Home, sweet home. Gio and our little girl are finally with us.
“We want to thank everyone for their kind words and gestures.
The footballer described how excited he was by the one-minute applause during the match between Liverpool and Manchester United on Tuesday.

The couple described the loss of their son as “the greatest pain any parent can feel”.
After the initial announcement, fans around the world sent messages of condolence and support, including one of his team.
The Manchester United Instagram account posted: “Your pain is our pain. I am sending love and strength to you and your family at this time.”
