The vehicle was among the eight alleged speeding officers arrested Sunday near Merritt.
Merritt police are reminding passengers to comply with speed limits after a driver was arrested on Sunday, approaching 190 km / h – one of a number of alleged speeding seized by BC Highway Patrol officers.
According to an RCMP press release, BC Highway Patrol members drove eight speeds off the road near Merritt on Sunday. It is alleged that one of them had 187 km / h.
“Merritt has no rental cars and the E-Bus is almost always fully booked,” BC Highway Patrol Const said. Vicki Taylor said in a statement.
“If you drive excessively and are towed, it is your responsibility to find your own way home.”
According to police, speeding defendants face ranges ranging from $ 368 to $ 483, as well as seven days of confiscation.
