Billionaire Elon Musk’s transgender child has applied for a gender reassignment attempt to sever ties with his father.
“Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live and do not want to be associated with my biological father in any way, form or form,” Musk’s child said, citing the petition.

Musk’s child requested both a name change and a new birth certificate reflecting a new gender identity. The request was filed in April at the Los Angeles County Supreme Court in Santa Monica.
Xavier Alexander Musk recently turned 18 and asked the court to recognize the gender reassignment from male to female and register a new name, according to court documents.

The new name will be Vivian Jenna Wilson, who will take the mother’s surname, TMZ reported.
Musk’s child said “she wants to be recognized as a woman,” according to the publication.

Teenage mother Justin Wilson divorced Musk in 2008.
There were no more details about the tension between Musk and his child.
The hearing for the requested name change is scheduled for Friday.

Musk has dealt with the topic of transgender people choosing their favorite pronouns in the past.
“Pronouns suck,” he wrote on Twitter in 2020.

“I absolutely support trance, but all these pronouns are an aesthetic nightmare,” he wrote in a separate tweet the same year.
