Before Dmitry Bivol defeated Canello Alvarez on Saturday night, the last fighter to defeat the Mexican superstar was Floyd Mayweather back in 2013, when 22-year-old Canello was defeated by Mayweather, then the Pound of the Pound King.
And Mayweather seems to have gained some of Canello’s latest failure by posting a winning bet on his Instagram page:
A $ 10,000 bet for a man like Mayweather isn’t really that big a bet – he’s definitely posted bigger ones in the past – but I don’t know anyone who will say no to winning $ 42,500 while calling it an “easy take”
Perhaps the funniest thing about the post, though, is that Adrian Broner replies, “Lole, you made money too, I guess we just know boxing.” Nice big bra ”
Many of Bronner’s responses (he didn’t post a winning slip on his page, which is worth it) question whether Bronner won money from Bivol’s bet against Canelo, especially since he recently said Bivol would be “Easy” for Canello:
If you want to make some money betting on boxing, you can do just that in the DraftKings Sportsbook and we have another good week ahead of us, led by a 154 lb undisputed rematch between Jermel Charlo and Brian Castano!
Mayweather will also be “fighting” this week as he heads to Dubai for a hotel helicopter show on May 14 against “Dangerous” Don Moore, which is definitely an event that is happening.
