Four teenagers have been charged with manslaughter after the death of a man in Kent who is believed to have fallen from a height.
Police identified the victim as Dale Simmons, 42, whose body was found in an area near Chalk Pitt Hill in Chatham, Kent, around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Kent police said he is believed to have died between 6pm and 8pm the night before.
On Saturday, Kent police said he was believed to have died after suffering injuries corresponding to a fall from a height.
Announcing the charges Sunday, police confirmed that all four suspects were known to the victim.
They are Tyrese Scott, 18, of Chatham, a 17-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys.
They are due to appear before the Medway Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Police are urging witnesses to the events that led to the victim’s death, and are asking drivers with CCTV cameras and residents with private CCTV to check for footage between 6pm and 8pm on Wednesday if this could help the investigation. .
