Homicide investigators have identified the man shot dead in Maple Ridge on Thursday as 41-year-old Arthur Aaron Joseph Como.
RCMP Ridge Meadows was called to block 12300 on Carlton Street around 2pm on Thursday for reports of shots fired.

Como was found with gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, he died on the spot.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said on Saturday that although Como is known to police, it is too early to say whether his murder was linked to the ongoing conflict between regional gangs.

“We want to talk to Mr. Como’s friends and associates in an attempt to schedule his activities for the days before his death,” said IHIT Cpl spokesman. Dry Desi said in a press release.

The deadly shooting came less than three weeks after another 41-year-old man, Dar Khunhun, was shot dead in Maple Ridge.
Investigators are still looking for witnesses and videos taken in the Carlton Street area and 124 Avenue and 216 Street and Dewdny Trunk Road between 1:30 and 2:30 p.m. on April 28.

Police also provided services for victims of residents and neighbors who may have witnessed the shooting.
