Jason Spca will make his series debut as the Toronto Maple Leafs face Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 3 on Friday night.
Spca skated on the team’s fourth line with Pierre Engwal and Colin Blackwell during Friday morning’s skating. Wayne Simmonds will drop out of Match 3 after serving two expensive penalties in the team’s loss from Match 2 on Wednesday.
Joey Anderson has joined the training team but was thought to take the place of Ondrej Kase, who was absent from the skateboard for personal reasons but is expected to be available for Game 3.
Cassie is expected to skate on a new second line with William Nilander and John Tavares.
In defense, Justin Hall is expected to equalize with Mark Giordano, replacing Timothy Lilgegren, who dressed in games 1 and 2.

The 38-year-old Speza has 12 goals and 25 points in 71 games with Maple Leafs in the regular season. He had a strong run last year against the Montreal Canadiens, scoring three goals and five points in the first round.
Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe said the team needed to be more disciplined after giving Lightning seven powerful games in Game 2.
Simmonds was penalized twice in Match 2, as his rough play after the whistle led to a goal by Nikita Kucherov, who took advantage of Tampa’s two-goal lead in the second period. He also received two minutes less for a cross-check in the third period, as a result of which Brayden Point led 5-1 for Lightning.
“I was the culprit,” Simmonds said after the match. “I took two, they scored two, we lost by two.

Keefe also seems to have chosen not to bring Kyle Clifford back into the squad for Game 3. The veteran striker was available again after enduring a one-match suspension as a result of his specialty on board in Game 1.
Jack Campbell was back in the starting line-up after the start of Games 1 and 2, while Eric Calgren seems to be supporting him again, with Petr Mrazek serving as a skate extra.
