Police are still searching the forest for traces of Katie Kenyon’s missing mother – as it turned out that last year she was targeted by someone who cut her tires.
Dozens of officers searched 3,000 acres of Gisborne Forest in the Ribble Valley today for every trace of it.
Neighbors have revealed that the 33-year-old mother of two, who went missing after boarding a silver van on Friday, was a vandal of her favorite white Ford Fiesta.
The incident, which was reported to Lancashire police, occurred in 2021, but was not reported at the time.
This is Katie’s fifth day – which the neighbors believed was a caring worker – missing.
Police released a photo of the silver transit, in which she was last seen on Todmorden Road in her hometown of Burnley at 9.30am on Friday.
They tested the car after it was returned to the site later that day.
A 50-year-old man he knows and arrested on suspicion of kidnapping is still being detained and questioned by detectives.
Paul Clough, 56, one of Katie’s neighbors, told MailOnline: “Someone cut her tires about a year ago.

“I don’t know Katie that well, but she’s all for her two children.”
Christine Marshall, 62, said: “Once the tires on her car were cut. This is really not typical for her, she would never abandon her children.
“I think he worked part-time, according to the uniform he wore, I would assume as a care worker or something.”
Katie’s Samsung handset stopped ringing shortly after 2pm after she boarded the van on Friday and her Fiesta was left there with her belongings.
Her family also said she appeared to have posted some items in a mailbox on a street address.
She has been missing since Friday, April 22, and Lancashire police are increasingly worried about her after her disappearance, which is “uncharacteristic.”
A friend said, “She wouldn’t do that by letting her children go home from school without her.”
Officials say they believe a woman matching Katie’s description got into the silver van with the man three days ago.
This is the fifth day Katie disappeared after disappearing on Burnley on Friday morning.

“Very unusual and uncharacteristic of Katie. Nothing is complementary and we are all concerned about her and her whereabouts.
“She drives a white Fiesta that was launched at a house in Burnley on Todmordon Road with her belongings – it still doesn’t make sense.”
Katie has not been seen since and police arrested a 50-year-old Burnley man in connection with her disappearance.
Lancashire police say the man is helping with the investigation and is calling for information from the public.
Police say the MT57 FLC-registered vehicle was driven 17 miles in the countryside near the village of Bolton in Bowland in the Ribble Valley.

Katie is described as white, 5 feet 9 inches, with blond hair to the shoulders and was last seen wearing a blue cardigan, light blue and white top, black leggings and flip flops.
Detective Chief Al Davis of the Lancashire Police Investigation Team said: “Katie’s disappearance is not typical and her family is understandably very worried.
“We are doing everything we can to try to find her, and I would urge anyone who has any information, however insignificant you may think it to be, to come out and contact us.
“I would especially like to hear from anyone who has been to Bolton near Bowland or the surrounding area and seen something suspicious so that we can get in touch.
“Did you see a woman matching Katie’s description, alone or with a man?” Have you seen the silver transit van or may you have footage from the dashboard showing it.
“While we were arresting someone in connection with our investigation, I am very open about what happened and I have a team of staff who are working hard to find Katie and return her to her family.
“You could help with this, so please go ahead and talk to us, as your information may be crucial.”
