Knife stabbed in Bermondsey: All victims identified and suspects arrested in hospital, police say | United Kingdom news

All four people stabbed in a house in south-east London on Monday have already been identified by police.

On Tuesday, the Special Police Police Command called for information on deaths at a Southwark property in the early hours of Monday.

The victims are identified as 58-year-old Denton Burke and his partner Dolet Hill, 64, who lived together at the house on Delaford Road, Southwark.

Tanisha Ofori-Afuko, 45, also known as Rachkel, who is Mrs. Hill’s daughter, is also listed.

The latest victim has been identified as Samantha Drummond, 27, who is the daughter of Ms Ofori-Afuko and lives in Luisham.

All four were pronounced dead on the spot.

The family of the deceased was notified and supported by specialists.

A friend of Samantha’s told reporters that she had temporarily moved into the house during construction work on her own apartment in Forest Hill.

Rudra Brambhat told the Evening Standard: “She recently moved out temporarily while her bathroom was ready. Samantha took her cat and returned to the family home.

“We’re devastated. We got along so well. She loved music and worked at NatWest.”

Detective Chief Inspector Linda Bradley said: “It was a truly horrific incident and I fully acknowledge that the suffering for the family and community will be enormous.

“We are conducting a thorough and detailed investigation of the facts and we call on anyone who can help with any information to come out.

A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of killing four family members has been detained at a hospital, police said.

It is assumed that all five were acquainted with each other.

Part of the residential street was closed with metal fences, while a number of forensic tents were erected while the police conducted their investigations.

On Monday, Ms. Hill’s niece, Venice Reed, told reporters at the scene: “She was very loving, very kind, very generous.

“She is working very hard in this country to support her two girls and her two grandchildren.

“She doesn’t deserve that.”
