Candles with the word “family” were left on the sidewalk near where four relatives were stabbed to death in a house in south-east London.
Denton Burke, 58, and his partner, Dolet Hill, 64, were killed at their home in Delaford Road, Bermondsey, in the early hours of Monday.
Mrs. Ofori-Akufo’s daughter, 45-year-old Tanisha Ofori-Akufo, also known as Rachkel, who lived in Kennington, and Mrs. Ofori-Akufo’s daughter, 27-year-old Samantha Drummond, who lived in Forest Hill, also died at the property.
As the community in Bermonds came to terms with the loss of the four, details began to emerge about who the victims were and what they loved.
Mr. Burke was a “crazy” man who “loved to cook” – his specialty was chicken and rice.
His sister, Juliet Hutchinson, said she last visited him on March 12, celebrating Mrs. Hill’s birthday.
She is still struggling to come to terms with her brother’s death, but says she wants to remember his “beautiful smile” and laughter.
Mr Burke’s 26-year-old Chyloe Daley said the four deaths had “affected us all quite badly”.

“The brutality of all this is what hurts the most,” added Ms. Daly, who said he was “a great husband, father and uncle.”
We heard more about Mrs. Hill.
She worked as a housekeeper at Guy and St. Thomas Hospital in their pharmaceutical department for 21 years before retiring in 2018.

In a statement, they described her as a “respected colleague” who helps others in the workplace as an “active representative of UNISON”.
They added: “Our thoughts are with Dolet’s family, friends and everyone who has worked with her.”
These honors echo in the streets around the three-bed house, where the four lost their lives.
